Local entrepreneur, Allison Hasler, of Southern Illinois Vacation Rentals was our guest speaker.

Allison spent over 11 years navigating the twists and turns of the public health field, specializing in rural health disparities. She's no stranger to government entities, having waltzed through roles at the local, county, state, and federal levels. In 2018, she and her husband embarked on a new adventure, building and operating their micro-cabin business, Dam Near Lake of Egypt Cabins, LLC, which offers a one-of-a-kind experience for southern Illinois visitors. By 2020, Allison had expanded her empire to manage additional properties. In 2021, she bid farewell to her full-time role with the City of Marion to focus on her property management company, Southern Illinois Vacation Rentals, which now boasts 37 short-term rental properties throughout Southern Illinois.
