Today’s tour brought us to the office of Michael Tison with Ameriprise Financial Group. Michael and his wife, Gloria, are CEO Program investors and have been supporters of the program since its inception.

Michael shared a day full of powerful insight and timeless wisdom, including business principles inspired by influential leaders like Martin Luther King Jr. and Thomas Edison, reminding us that success is built on purpose, perseverance, and vision.

One of the biggest takeaways: do something you love—and never underestimate the power of building a strong network.

We also learned about key business “moats” like cost advantage, network effects, and intangible assets, along with the importance of corporate stewardship—how you not only build a business, but sustain it. From financial leverage and solid accounting practices to dividend strategies and smart investment evaluation, every detail matters when it comes to long-term success.

We also had the opportunity to meet with CEO Program mentor Kelly Ramsey and Peyton Dixon, who added even more encouragement to our experience.

What makes a business stand out?
Take pride in your work.
Finish what you start.
Keep your promises.
Continuously improve your communication skills.

Another impactful day of learning, growth, and preparation for the future!
